The Yokohama Landmark Tower is the tallest building in Yokohama and one of the tallest in Japan, at 296m. The impressive futuristic structure is located in the Minato Mirai district and was completed in 1993. Its iconic design is difficult to miss if you are visiting central Yokohama. While the lower 48 floors of the building contain shops, restaurants and offices, the upper floors are occupied by the Yokohama Royal Park Hotel. There is an observatory with a panoramic view of the city on the 69th floor called Sky Garden, which can be reached with one of Japan's fastest elevators. The view of Yokohama's harbor is stunning especially at night. On very clear days you may be lucky enough to see Mt. Fuji in the distance.
