Yokohama

Yokohama

Yokohama is Japan's second largest city by population and is only 30 minutes away from Tokyo by train. It has a very different feel and atmosphere than Tokyo. Despite being home to 3.7 million people, not counting the millions who commute here everyday, it feels more spacious and less crowded than Tokyo. Much of Yokohama is built along the bayside and the city boasts one of Japan's major ports. Many international cruise ships make a stop here. Most of Yokohama's architecture is modern and contemporary, creating a beautiful skyline at night. Yokohama is also home to a lively China town that attracts many visitors for its good selection of food.
