With its name translating directly into “sunshine after the rain”, Amaharashi Kaigan Beach is popular for its magnificent reef and Japanese Pine trees. Sitting on the beach to overlook the sunrise where the sun shines upon the reef, with mountain ranges so close by is a rare experience. This may be the reason why Amaharashi Kaigan Beach has inspired so many Japanese poems. Historically, the Amaharashi Kaigan Beach has long been favored location by Japanese poets, and it appears in a large number of Japan’s most famous poem collections.
