Yanagi Yu is one of the seven public bathhouses in the town of Kinosaki Onsen in the north of Hyogo Prefecture. The name, which means weeping willow bath, is a reference to the willow-lined street in front of the bathhouse. Yanagi Yu is a small and intimate bathhouse with just one bath each for men and women. The interior is mostly made of cypress wood which creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. While any onsen provides relaxation, the hot spring water of this particular bath is also said to improve women's fertility and help with safe childbirth.
