Kochi Prefecture’s Mt. Godai gets it name from Mt. Wutai in China, the topography of which it resembles. The summit is equipped with an observation platform that offers a splendid view of the cityscape and Tosawan Bay. The region is famous for cherry blossoms and azaleas, and there is also a botanical garden nearby. In fact, this area boasts some 3,000 species of plants that bloom and change with the seasons.
