Kochi Prefecture located on the south coast of Shikoku (one of the four main islands of Japan). Kochi despite being a remote part of Japan is rich in cultural traditions and is famous for "Tosa Washi", a traditional handmade Japanese paper. Kochi Castle is also one of best kept of the twelve original castles left in Japan, and is a popular spot to visit for tourists. Kochi has an all over historical atmosphere with traditional markets that have existed for hundreds of years and old sake breweries that give you a taste of the old Japan. Kochi is rich in rivers and mountains and is famous for it's beaches also.
