Ryugado Cave

Beautiful Scenery Insta-worthy

Ryugado Cave, literally "Dragon River Cave", is one of the 3 biggest limestone caves in Japan, a place said to be an amazing 175,000,000 years old!! A Japanese natural treasure spot, this mystical and magical 4km long cave is most definitely an out of the ordinary experience. The main route of the cave is only 1km, making for only a quarter of the cave, however for those feeling a little bit more adventurous and daring, there is an "adventure" course available too! Expect lots of crawling and climbing through some narrow passages in order to get a deeper look into this truly bizarre looking natural environment. Also home to around a 100 different animal species such as bats, crabs and shrimps, this cave is cool in the summer, but warm during the winter, making it an all year round winner regardless of the weather.
